YOUR USE OF THIS WEBSITE CONSTITUTES YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN.

This license does NOT include the right to:

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense any templates
• Use templates to provide legal services to others
• Represent our templates as legal advice or legally binding documents
• Remove or modify any disclaimers or copyright notices

4. User Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk

BY USING OUR TEMPLATES, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• You are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of any template for your situation
• You will consult with a qualified attorney before using any template for legal purposes
• You assume ALL risks associated with the use of our templates
• You will not hold us liable for any consequences arising from your use of the templates
• You understand that using our templates without legal counsel may result in serious legal consequences

Invoice Services

The invoice generator, hosted invoice pages, email delivery, reminders, and payment-status tools are software services. The account holder who creates an invoice is the sender, merchant of record, and controller of recipient information. LegalTemplates.com is not a party to the underlying sale or service, does not verify the debt, does not calculate or remit the sender's taxes, and does not guarantee payment. The sender is responsible for invoice accuracy, recipient consent and privacy requests, lawful communications, refunds, disputes, taxes, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable consumer, payments, and anti-spam laws.

Offline payment instructions are supplied by the sender and LegalTemplates.com does not execute or custody those payments. When online payment is enabled, funds move through the sender's connected Stripe account under Stripe's terms; LegalTemplates.com does not pool or forward customer funds. You may not use invoice features for impersonation, deceptive payment demands, unlawful collection activity, bulk unsolicited email, or any prohibited transaction. We may review, delay, reject, or suspend invoice email delivery to protect recipients and the service.

ALL TEMPLATES AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that templates will meet legal requirements in any jurisdiction
• Warranties of accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any template
• Warranties that templates will produce any particular legal outcome

• Your violation of any term of these Terms
• Your use of templates without proper legal counsel
• Any claim that your use of templates caused damage to a third party

8. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

9. Subscription Plans and Billing

LegalTemplates.com currently offers recurring access plans, one-time single-document purchases, and optional checkout add-ons. Current checkout prices are:

Billing Terms:

• Basic: $0.00 today with a payment method on file for a 7-day free trial, then $49.95/month until canceled.
• Premium: $1.00 charged today for 7 days of access, then $49.95/month until canceled.
• Team: $5.00 charged today for 7 days of access, then $59.95/month until canceled. Includes up to 20 additional team member seats; seat holders receive membership access only while the plan owner's subscription remains active, and their access ends automatically when that subscription is canceled, lapses, or changes to a plan without seats.
• Single Document: You are charged $39.00 once for the selected document. This purchase does not automatically renew.
• Document Package: If selected at checkout, the Document Package is charged once at $24.95 and does not create recurring billing.
• No New Free Trial: New checkout offers do not include a free trial unless a specific promotion is expressly shown to you in checkout.
• Legacy Billing Schedules: Customers who purchased or started a plan before a pricing change may remain on the billing schedule disclosed at the time of purchase until they cancel, change plans, or otherwise update their subscription. Legacy schedules may differ from current prices.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. Monthly plans renew monthly, and annual plans renew yearly.
• Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards and debit cards through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase affects their subscription.
• Taxes: Prices do not include applicable sales taxes, which will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

• Document Preview: Before any purchase, you are provided with a preview of the document template. By completing your purchase after viewing the preview, you confirm that you have reviewed the document and understand what you are purchasing. Dissatisfaction after purchase is addressed by the 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment; after the guarantee window it does not create a right to a refund.
• Current Subscription Terms: Basic subscriptions renew automatically at $49.95 per month starting on day 8 unless canceled before the trial ends, and monthly after that unless canceled before the next renewal date. Premium subscriptions renew automatically at $49.95 per month starting on day 8 unless canceled before then, and monthly after that unless canceled before the next renewal date. Team subscriptions renew automatically at $59.95 per month starting on day 8 unless canceled before then, and monthly after that unless canceled before the next renewal date. Renewal charges are not covered by the money-back guarantee and are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Legacy Trial or Introductory Terms: If you previously started a legacy trial, introductory plan, or older billing schedule, the cancellation and renewal terms disclosed at the time of that purchase continue to apply unless you cancel or change plans. Charges processed under those legacy terms are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Single Document: If you buy a single document, the $39.00 charge is processed once. It is covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee when it is your first payment; otherwise it is NON-REFUNDABLE once purchased.
• Document Package: If you add the Document Package during checkout, the $24.95 charge is processed immediately. It is covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee when charged as part of your first payment; otherwise it is NON-REFUNDABLE once purchased.
• Your Consent: By providing your payment information and completing any purchase, you explicitly consent to this Refund Policy — including the 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment and the finality of all later charges — and waive any right to dispute charges or claim fraud based on our clearly stated terms.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds will be provided for unused time. A refund under the 7-day money-back guarantee is different: it refunds your first payment and cancels the subscription immediately.
• Access After Cancellation: Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of your current billing period (or immediately, in the case of a money-back-guarantee refund). Purchased Document Package materials remain subject to the terms presented at checkout.
• Billing Disputes: Any claims of unauthorized charges or fraud are invalid if you have voluntarily provided your payment information and agreed to these terms. We maintain records of your consent and agreement to these terms.

What Your Access Includes:

• Plan-Based Features: Access depends on the plan you choose. Limited access plans include limited edits and downloads, while unlimited monthly and annual plans include broader document, e-sign, and PDF tool access.
• Document Formats: Documents are provided in the formats made available through the selected product or plan.
• AI-Generated Documents: Eligible paid plans include access to our AI-powered document generation tools.
• Personal/Business Use: Documents may be used for your personal or business purposes, but may not be resold or redistributed.
• Storage: Generated documents and purchased add-ons are stored in your account dashboard for easy access and re-download where applicable.

Automated Processing and AI Disclosure:

By accessing or using the Website or any of our services, you acknowledge and agree that LegalTemplates.com may use automated tools, machine learning systems, and third-party artificial intelligence providers in connection with any service we provide, whether or not that service is expressly identified to you as AI-powered. You authorize LegalTemplates.com and its third-party service providers to receive, use, transmit, disclose, and process the information you submit or make available, including document content, prompts, responses, instructions, uploads, and related metadata, as reasonably necessary to provide, support, generate, revise, format, and deliver the services, documents, and document instructions you request.

• We may share or transmit your information to third-party AI, automation, hosting, cloud, and other service providers to operate, support, and improve any service we provide.
• Such processing may occur behind the scenes as part of our workflows, even when a particular feature or service is not specifically labeled as using AI.
• You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit any content you provide for that processing.
• You consent to that sharing and processing by using the Website or any of our services.
• You should not submit content you are not authorized to share or that you do not want processed by such third-party providers.

10. AI-Assisted Tools

LegalTemplates.com offers automated tools that read or describe documents and case details you provide, described in the subsections below. Each is automated software that uses artificial intelligence and produces informational output only. None of them constitutes legal advice, an attorney review, or any legal service, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using any of them.

AI Document Review & Revision (discontinued). The standalone AI document review of uploaded documents and its optional paid AI revision were discontinued on September 17, 2026 and can no longer be used or purchased. For any review or revision delivered before that date, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Review findings and revised documents were generated by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies; they are NOT guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your circumstances or jurisdiction, and long documents may have been reviewed or revised only in part
• You are solely responsible for reviewing any revised document in full — and for consulting a licensed attorney where appropriate — before signing, sending, filing, or otherwise using it
• Uploaded documents and their extracted content are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy; uploads for reviews without a purchased revision are deleted after a limited period (currently 30 days from upload), and a purchased revised document remains available in your account
• Paid revisions were one-time purchases subject to our Refund Policy

10.1 Case Workspace and AI Case Review

The Case Workspace lets you group documents, party names, and dates you enter for a court matter, and, where available to your plan, request an automated "Review My Case" summary ("Case Review"). The Case Review is generated by automated software using artificial intelligence and produces educational, informational output only. It is NOT legal advice, NOT an attorney's review or opinion, and NOT a legal service, and no attorney-client relationship is created by creating a case, entering case details, or requesting or reading a Case Review.

BY USING THE CASE WORKSPACE OR THE CASE REVIEW, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• A Case Review is based solely on the information you have placed in the case — documents, party names, dates, and any optional details you provide. We have no access to any court's file or docket, and the review may be incomplete or out of date relative to what has actually been filed or ordered
• A Case Review is generated by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies; it is NOT guaranteed to be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your circumstances, court, or jurisdiction
• Coverage may be partial: long documents may be read only in part, and scanned or image-only uploads are not read at all; the review discloses when material was truncated or skipped
• A Case Review does NOT assess or predict the outcome, merits, or likelihood of success of any matter, does NOT determine whether any document meets any court's requirements, and does NOT calculate, confirm, or supply any deadline or time limit. Any dates shown in the Case Workspace are dates you entered yourself; you are solely responsible for confirming every date and requirement with the court or a licensed attorney
• Any documents a Case Review or the Case Workspace suggests are limited to templates available on LegalTemplates.com, or general documents you choose to create with our document generator, which are drafted from a title you confirm and are not court-issued forms; they are described only as documents commonly prepared in similar situations, they are NOT a list of what any court requires, and courts frequently require their own local forms that we do not offer
• Date reminders, where offered, are best-effort convenience emails and are NOT legal notice; delivery is not guaranteed, and you remain responsible for tracking your own court dates and deadlines
• You are solely responsible for any decision or action you take, or do not take, in connection with your matter, including whether to consult a licensed attorney
• Case details you enter (including other parties' names) and the text of your documents are processed by third-party AI providers to produce a Case Review, as described in our Privacy Policy; you confirm you have the right to submit that information
• Party and date details on cases marked closed or archived, and the content of Case Reviews, are automatically deleted after a retention period (currently 365 days without activity), and you may delete any individual Case Review, or the entire case, at any time from the case page

10.2 PDF Editor Assists

The PDF editor offers optional assists: "Explain a clause", "Check for blanks", and "Fill from my details". "Explain a clause" is generated by automated software using artificial intelligence from the paragraph you click and produces a plain-English description of that wording for informational purposes only. It is NOT legal advice, NOT an attorney's review or opinion, and NOT a legal service, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using any editor assist.

BY USING THE PDF EDITOR ASSISTS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• A clause explanation describes only the wording you clicked. It does not consider the rest of your document, your circumstances, or the law of any state or country, and it may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• A clause explanation does NOT determine whether any wording is valid, enforceable, fair, customary, or lawful anywhere, does NOT predict any outcome, and does NOT tell you what to do; any decision about signing, changing, negotiating, or using a document is yours alone, including whether to consult a licensed attorney
• "Check for blanks" and "Fill from my details" are convenience features that rely on the fields the editor was able to detect and on information you previously gave us; they may miss fields or propose a wrong value, and you are solely responsible for confirming every value in a document before signing, sending, filing, or otherwise using it
• The text of the clause you click, together with the document's title, is processed by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy, and explanations are cached by clause wording for a limited period (currently 7 days); you confirm you have the right to submit that text
• Assists may be limited per visitor, may be unavailable at times, and may be changed or withdrawn without notice

10.3 Court Format Reformatting

Where available, the "Reformat a document" service lets you upload a court document you already have (PDF or Word) and lays its text out on a court format you choose or that we suggest, such as line-numbered pleading paper or the standard court format ("Court Format Reformatting"). The words of your document are preserved and checked against your upload; the service changes only the layout, may print the document title in capitals, and removes typed line numbers, margin-column characters, and page footers from the original. It is a formatting tool only. It is NOT legal advice, NOT an attorney's review or opinion, and NOT a legal service, and no attorney-client relationship is created by uploading a document or using a reformatted copy.

BY USING COURT FORMAT REFORMATTING, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

• Court formatting requirements vary by court, by case type, and over time, and the formats we offer are general layouts, not the rules of any particular court. We do NOT guarantee that any court, clerk, or judge will accept a reformatted document, and a suggested format is a suggestion only; you are solely responsible for checking your court's local rules and any judge's standing orders before filing
• The service does not review, complete, correct, or add to the content of your document. Blanks, errors, missing parties, missing case numbers, and any other defect in the document you upload remain in the reformatted copy, and you are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of every document you file or use
• Where a document only exists as a court-issued form, the service will say so and lay the text out on a general format; we do not reproduce official court forms
• The automated layout may place a caption, heading, or paragraph differently from your original, and the verbatim check may be reported as not passed; you are responsible for reviewing the preview and every page of the finished copy before using it
• Uploaded documents are processed by automated systems, including third-party AI providers that classify the parts of the document (court, parties, case number, title, headings, paragraphs) without rewriting them, as described in our Privacy Policy; you confirm you have the right to submit the document
• The uploaded file, its extracted text, and the reformatted copies are retained for a limited period (currently 30 days) and then deleted unless you save the document to your account, after which it is governed by the terms that apply to documents in your dashboard
• The preview is available at no charge; downloading the reformatted PDF and Word files and saving them to your dashboard require a membership plan that includes downloads (currently the Premium and Team plans), subject to the plan terms above
• The service may be limited per visitor and per day, may be unavailable at times, and may be changed or withdrawn without notice

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including templates, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of LegalTemplates.com or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create using our templates, but you grant us and our service providers a limited license to host, use, reproduce, transmit, disclose, and process that content as necessary to provide the services you request, including generating documents, document instructions, and related outputs through any automated or AI-assisted processing used in our services. You also grant us a license to use anonymized data for improving our services.

12. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Website or templates to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe upon any third-party rights
• Transmit any harmful or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Engage in any activity that disrupts our services
• Practice law or provide legal services without proper licensing
• Misrepresent the nature or enforceability of our templates

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Website shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LegalTemplates.com regarding the use of the Website and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Website after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law
