Refund Policy
Every purchase includes a 7-day money-back guarantee covering your first payment. If you are not satisfied for any reason, request a refund within 7 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. After the guarantee window, payments are non-refundable.
This Refund Policy explains how LegalTemplates.com handles refund requests for our current subscription plans and the optional Document Package offered during checkout. This Policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Use and our Subscription Policy.
1. The 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Your first payment to LegalTemplates.com is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. This includes the plan charge and any Document Package add-on charged as part of that first payment.
- How to request: ask in our support chat while logged in to your account (fastest), create a support ticket in chat, or email support@legaltemplates.com within 7 days of your first payment.
- What happens: the first payment is refunded in full to your original payment method, and your subscription is canceled immediately — access ends when the refund is processed and no further renewals occur.
- Timing: refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
The guarantee applies once per customer and covers the first payment only. Requests made after the 7-day window are reviewed by our support team but are not covered by the guarantee.
2. After the Guarantee Window
Outside the 7-day money-back guarantee, all sales are final. Except where required by applicable law or where we choose to correct a verified billing error, LegalTemplates.com does not provide refunds for completed purchases or subscription charges after the guarantee window — including renewal charges.
By purchasing 7 Day Access, Pro Yearly, Single Document, renewing any subscription, continuing under a legacy billing schedule, or adding the Document Package during checkout, you acknowledge and accept this Refund Policy.
3. Charges Covered by This Policy
- 7 Day Access: $1.99 charged today, then $39.99/month until canceled
- Pro Yearly: $107.00 charged upfront, shown as $8.99/month equivalent, and renews annually unless canceled
- Single Document: $39.00 one-time for the selected document
- Automatic renewal charges under any active subscription
- Charges incurred under any legacy trial, introductory, or older billing schedule disclosed at the time of purchase
- Document Package: $14.95 one-time at checkout
4. Document Preview and Purchase Review
Before completing a purchase, customers are provided with pricing disclosures and, in many cases, document previews or plan details. By completing checkout after reviewing that information, you confirm that you understand what you are purchasing. Dissatisfaction after purchase is covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment; after the guarantee window it does not create a right to a refund.
5. Document Package Add-On
The optional Document Package is currently offered during checkout for $14.95 as a one-time add-on. It currently includes Document Instructions and a Certificate of Completion.
When the Document Package is charged as part of your first payment, it is covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee together with the plan charge.
Outside the guarantee window, because it is a digital add-on fulfilled after purchase, the Document Package is not refundable once purchased. It does not create a recurring subscription.
6. Subscriptions, Renewals, and Legacy Offers
- New checkout offers do not include a free trial unless a specific promotion is expressly shown to you in checkout.
- 7 Day Access subscriptions renew automatically each month at $39.99 unless canceled before the next renewal date.
- Pro Yearly subscriptions renew automatically each year at $107.00 unless canceled before the next renewal date.
- Single Document purchases and Document Package purchases are one-time charges and do not renew.
- Customers who purchased or started a plan before a pricing change may remain on the legacy billing schedule disclosed at the time of purchase until they cancel, change plans, or otherwise update their subscription.
- Renewal charges are not covered by the money-back guarantee and are non-refundable once processed.
7. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges
If you believe you were charged in error, charged more than once for the same transaction, or experienced another billing issue, please contact us promptly at support@legaltemplates.com. We may review the account and transaction details and, where appropriate, correct a verified billing error — this applies at any time, independent of the money-back guarantee.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
Canceling a subscription on its own stops future renewals only. Cancellation does not reverse a processed charge and does not entitle you to a full or partial refund for any unused portion of the current billing period. A refund issued under the 7-day money-back guarantee is different: it refunds your first payment and cancels the subscription immediately at the same time.
