Subscription Policy

This Subscription Policy ("Policy") governs all subscription services offered by LegalTemplates.com ("we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to any of our services, you agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

1. Subscription Services Offered

We offer various subscription services including:

• 7-Day Limited Access: Limited access to legal templates with limited edits and downloads
• 7-Day Unlimited Access: Unlimited document access with e-sign and PDF tools after the introductory period
• Annual Plan: Annual unlimited access billed upfront
• Document Package: Optional one-time checkout add-on currently including Document Instructions and a Certificate of Completion

2. Subscription Plans

Current pricing and plan details are reflected on our pricing page and in checkout disclosures. Our current plans and add-on include:

• 7-Day Limited Access: Free for 7 days, then $39.00/month unless canceled
• 7-Day Unlimited Access: $1.00 today for 7 days, then $39.00/month unless canceled
• Annual Plan: $479.40 billed upfront, equivalent to $39.95/month
• Document Package: $14.95 one-time when selected during checkout

Payment Processing:

• All payments processed securely through Stripe
• Accepted payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
• Payment information encrypted and stored securely
• PCI DSS compliant payment processing

Billing Cycle:

• 7-Day Limited Access: Renews monthly at $39.00 after the trial period unless canceled
• 7-Day Unlimited Access: Renews monthly at $39.00 after the introductory period unless canceled
• Annual Plan: Billed once per year at $479.40 unless canceled before renewal
• Document Package: Charged once at $14.95 if selected during checkout
• Billing date based on initial subscription date
• Invoices sent via email after each successful payment

Failed Payments:

• We will attempt to process payment up to 3 times over 7 days
• Email notifications sent for failed payments
• Account access may be suspended after final failed attempt
• Subscription cancelled after 14 days of payment failure
• Update payment method anytime in account settings

How to Cancel:

• Log into your account dashboard
• Navigate to "Subscription Management"
• Click "Cancel Subscription"
• Follow confirmation prompts
• Receive email confirmation of cancellation

Cancellation Terms:

• Cancel anytime - no cancellation fees
• Access continues until end of current billing period
• No partial month/year refunds for unused time
• Downloaded documents remain accessible
• Account data retained for 90 days after cancellation
• The Document Package does not auto-renew and does not require recurring cancellation

7. Refund Policy

Billing Issue Review:

• If you believe a billing error or duplicate charge occurred, contact support@legaltemplates.com promptly.
• Include your account email, transaction date, and any invoice or payment reference.
• We may review the account and transaction details and, where appropriate, correct a verified billing error.

8. Account Access and Usage

During Active Subscription:

• Access varies by plan selected
• 7-Day Limited Access includes limited edits and downloads and does not include e-sign access
• 7-Day Unlimited Access and Annual Plan include broader document, e-sign, and PDF tool access
• Download documents in the formats available under the selected plan or product
• Save and modify documents
• Access from multiple devices
• Customer support via email

Usage Restrictions:

• Personal or business use only
• No sharing of account credentials
• No commercial redistribution of documents
• No automated downloading or scraping
• Maximum 5 simultaneous device logins

9. Price Changes

• We reserve the right to modify subscription prices
• Existing subscribers receive 30-day advance notice of price increases
• Price changes apply at next renewal period
• Option to cancel before price change takes effect
• Promotional pricing may have different terms

10. Promotional Offers and Discounts

• Promotional rates apply to initial term only
• Regular pricing applies upon renewal
• Cannot combine multiple promotions
• Promotions may have specific eligibility requirements
• We reserve the right to modify or end promotions

11. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of Terms of Use or this Policy
• Fraudulent or unauthorized payment methods
• Abusive or excessive usage patterns
• Sharing or reselling subscription access
• Legal requirements or court orders

• Account data retained during active subscription
• 90-day retention period after cancellation
• Option to export documents before cancellation
• Permanent deletion after retention period
• No recovery of deleted data possible

13. Taxes

• Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated
• Sales tax calculated based on billing address
• International customers responsible for local taxes
• Tax-exempt organizations must provide valid documentation
• Tax invoices available in account dashboard

14. Dispute Resolution

For billing disputes or subscription issues:

• Contact support within 60 days of charge
• Provide detailed information about the dispute
• We will investigate and respond within 10 business days
• Escalation process available if not resolved
• Binding arbitration as specified in Terms of Use
